Take your game to an exciting new level of competition! MLP-Style Team Leagues – here’s what you need to know:
➡ Sure Shot Team League Details:
Team size: 4 players (2 men + 2 women)
- 1 player designated “Team Captain” (team captain will be responsible for registration and providing players names and DUPR)
- Recommended: 1 male + 1 female alternate (optional)
- Cost: $275 per team
- Does not count as a free league for Elite Members
**team captain will be emailed upon registration with a roster submission request
FORMAT OF PLAY:
The first 3 weeks of league play will follow the MLPlay format using side-out scoring to 11. Teams must win by 1 point and must serve to win the game. In the event of a tie, a tiebreaker similar to the MLP DreamBreaker will be utilized. Results from these weeks will be used to determine seeding for the final playoff week.
Playoffs will take place during the final week of the league. Playoff matches will also use side-out scoring to 11; however, teams must win by 2points.
Match order will be:
1. Women’s Doubles
2. Men’s Doubles
3. Mixed Doubles #1
4. Mixed Doubles #2
➡ DUPR 12 Division (6 teams max)
- Team cap: 12.3 (max individual rating: 3.6)
- Non-rated players start at the league’s average
- Any roster subs beyond designated alternates require approval
- Start date: Thursday June 4th
- Team sponsors are welcome to help reduce team costs! (no outside club affiliation)
- ALL scores will be reported to DUPR
- Registration deadline: Wednesday May 27th

- Thurs June 4th: 6-9 pm
- Thurs June 11th : 6-9 pm
- Thurs June 18th: 6-9 pm
- Thurs June 25th: 6-9 pm
➡ DUPR 14 Division (6 teams max)
- Team cap: 14.3 (max individual rating: 4.1)
- Non-rated players start at the league’s average
- Any roster subs beyond designated alternates require approval
- Start date: Thursday June 4th

➡ Updated MLP Format:
MLP play now mirrors traditional pickleball positioning and movement. Players will switch sides with their partner as they would in standard pickleball play, rather than remaining on one side of the court throughout the game.
The DreamBreaker tiebreaker format remains unchanged. Players compete in singles play and rotate after every 4 points scored.
