➡ Sure Shot Team League Details:
- Team size: 4 players (2 men + 2 women)
- 1 player designated “Team Captain” (team captain will be responsible for registration and providing players names and DUPR score)
- Recommended: 1 male + 1 female alternate (optional)
- Cost: Check CourtReserve
- Does not count as a free league for Elite Members

- Non-rated players start at the league’s average

FORMAT OF PLAY:
The first 5 weeks of league play will follow the MLPlay format using side-out scoring to 11. Teams must win by 1 point and must serve to win the game. In the event of a tie, a tiebreaker similar to the MLP Dream Breaker will be utilized. Results from these weeks will be used to determine seeding for the final playoff week. Dream Breaker will go to 16 points, win by 1 during regular league play.
Playoffs will take place during the final week of the league. Playoff matches will also use side-out scoring to 11; however, teams must win by 2 points. Dream Breaker will go to 21 points win by 2.
Match order will be:
1. Women’s Doubles
2. Men’s Doubles
3. Mixed Doubles #1
4. Mixed Doubles #2
➡ Updated MLP Format:
MLP play now mirrors traditional pickleball positioning and movement. Players will switch sides with their partner as they would in standard pickleball play, rather than remaining on one side of the court throughout the game.
The Dream Breaker tiebreaker format during regular league play will go to 16 win by 1. Players compete in singles play and rotate after every 4 points scored. Playoffs Dream Breaker will return to normal format – play team to 21 win by 2.
MiLP League Format and Information
This league, Minor League Pickleball (MiLP), is a round-robin team competition generally following the MLP format of play. MLPlay™ is an innovative gameplay format that brings men and women together on a level playing court.
With this format, team matches are composed of four 11-point games: women’s doubles, men’s doubles, and two mixed doubles games. This unique dynamic means that teamwork is just as critical as speed or technique on the court and is a big part of the community aspect of the sport.
