Preferred Level of Instruction:

Georgia Salerno holds a master’s degree in Education from the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign and has over 25 years experience teaching Physical Education & Health at the high school level. She has been recognized on several occasions for her excellence in teaching. Georgia loves Pickleball because it checks three boxes on the wellness scale– physical, social and mental. Pickleball enhances muscular endurance, provides opportunities to cultivate community with other players, and requires mental acuity.

Georgia’s undergraduate degree is in Dance Education from The Ohio State University. Her transition from being a dancer to a Pickleball player was challenging. Dancers are trained to find length in all their movements. Pickleball on the other hand requires minimal and compact movements. Georgia has had to work hard to earn her place on the podium in 5 out of 9 tournaments she has entered.

Georgia’s philosophy for beginner players is to get to the ball, have contact with the ball, and to have fun. Joy for the game creates desire to improve and grow in your skillset.

When Georgia walked into Sure Shot she immediately fell in love with the gorgeous facility and knew she wanted to contribute her talents to make Sure Shot a thriving space for Pickleball. Georgia loves the opportunity to introduce players to the fastest growing sport in the USA.
